PATRICK HYLAND JR. attended The Pennsylvania State University and graduated with distinction in 1997, earning a Bachelor of Architecture and a Faculty Letter of Commendation. He continued his education at the Yale University School of Architecture, earning his Master of Architecture in 2004, along with the Ulli Schamberg Scholarship in memory of Carroll L.V. Meeks.
His professional experience includes work as a designer at Westlake Reed Leskosky in Cleveland, OH, from June 1997 until the present, breaking only when continuing his education. He also worked as a designer at Turner Brooks Architect in New Haven in Spring 2004 during his studies.
His teaching experience started with a return to Penn State as an instructor in the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture from 2001 to 2002. He is currently an adjunct assistant professor of architecture at Kent State University's Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative.
